Qantas Freight

Silver Sponsor

For more than 100 years Qantas Freight has helped make connections across our nation and the world.

We know what matters to you isn’t just what we move, it’s how we move it. With Qantas Freight you’ll always be in safe hands. Air freight is a critical industry, particularly in a country like ours with it’s vast distances.

At Qantas, we want to ensure that future generations can enjoy the benefits of aviation and air freight. We’re making air travel more sustainable through direct investment, innovation and collaboration with industry and governments.  In 2019, we were one of the first airlines in the world to commit to net zero by 2050 and in 2022 we launched a detailed climate action plan that charts our course to zero.

Air freight is an important industry, particularly in a country like ours with its vast distances

We have more dedicated freight handling terminals throughout Australia than any other provider, and our trusted business partners also offer road transport and door-to-door services to complete the delivery cycle. We know what matters to you isn’t just what we move, it’s how we move it. With Qantas Freight you’re in safe hands. And whether in the air or on the ground, we’re committed to reducing our environmental impact at every step.

By creating one of Australia’s largest carbon offsetting programs, minimising waste and single use plastics, and investing in more sustainable aircraft and aviation fuel, we’re working towards a brighter future of travel.

At Qantas Freight, we’re investing in a new, more fuel-efficient fleet, including 9 A321 freighters which are up to 30 per cent more fuel efficient than the aircraft they replace.

The use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is also critical and we’ve invested $400 million with Airbus on a Climate Fund to accelerate the development of an Australian SAF industry.

Sustainability a key pillar of Qantas Freight decision-making and we’re dedicated to working towards our key targets across all our terminals and operations.
